I documented some of my recent experiments in reverse-engineering the Print Gocco, a Japanese DIY printmaking tool from the 1970s. You can read about it here: https://www.nobadmemories.com/blog/2022/05/printmaking-as-play/ #theWorkshop
My secret projects is complete enough to share! I present Feather Wiki, a tiny, self-contained #wiki app that exports into a single HTML file:
https://alamantus.codeberg.page/FeatherWiki/
Think TiddlyWiki but as small as possible!
My #troika backgrounds are now live on the Unwinnable.com website: https://unwinnable.com/2022/05/12/troika-backgrounds/
There was something about the book saying you should balance the fun, not the numbers, when creating Troika backgrounds that really resonated with me and look where I am now.

hi I'm brian and I have written exactly one (1) #ttrpg thing, a set of 6 #troika backgrounds for unwinnable.com's April 2022 issue (https://unwinnable.com/2022/04/15/unwinnable-monthly-april-1872/) and posting this #introduction is a small victory over parts of my brain!
Added the finishing touches to the spreadsheet today, you'll stop hearing me going on about it.
The scroll now follows the cursor and I added a hex printing mode because it was only 7 extra bytes to implement.
Mastodon provides several tools for managing your timeline.
You can add notes to any profile. Why did you follow them? Are they a repeat offender? Remind yourself.
You can disable boosts on a per-user basis. Maybe you want to see a user's posts, but not everything that interests them.
You can temporarily mute an account while they get something out of their system.
You filter out posts with specific words, hashtags or phrases.
And when all else fails: block, unfollow, or mute indefinitely.
One or two accounts regularly posting things that don't interest you is manageable, but the more you add, the easier it is to lose the signal in the noise. With no algorithm working to keep you addicted, it's easy to let your Home timeline get overrun. Follow freely, but also be ready to unfollow for basic quality of life reasons. The Federated timeline can be overwhelming, but your Home timeline shouldn't be. You have to tend it like a garden, and a little pruning goes a long way. #feditips
