If you are a #Hometown admin and would like to be notified whenever there is a new release, you can follow @hometown_releases

This account updates whenever a Hometown release comes out. I recommend after following, going to the profile and clicking the "notification" bell icon to get notified like an @-mention whenever this posts (which is not often). That icon won't be there if you don't follow it first, by the way.

My father found this 3.5" disk drive cleaning kit in a drawer and gave it to me last weekend. #floppy #DiskDrive #RetroComputing

journa.host is an interesting experiment, not least of all in how it's negotiating the place of journalists in the Fediverse, but one thing it lacks is established institutional coherence. People may trust a given news org, but how do you decide how much trust to give a server made up of journalists from a broad spectrum of orgs with differing standards and reputations? One that could, for all you know, accomodate reporters from Breitbart as easily as those from The Guardian?

My newest game IS OUT.

The Barnacle Goose Experiment
is an abiogensis body horror idle clicker where you play as a researcher in a biodome tasked with generating a world out of their own body.

Music from Ben Babbitt, halina heron, Geotic, Adobo, Jún, Smokey Emery, Sadurn, Zac Traeger, SamanthaZero, and Eli Rainsbury and supported in part by Arts Council England.

Play it free in the browser now -

Maybe I will install Oblivion today. I never gave it a chance when it came out. Coming off Morrowind it felt slow and clunky. Maybe this weekend is the time to give it a try.

Once again, for the new folks in the peanut gallery, if on Android, try Tusky or FediLab. If iOS, pay the $4 for Toot! or get MetaText for free. The official app is, well, ass. The folks who boost this will underscore how true this is.

For those who don't know, Bookwyrm is basically a better, federated Goodreads. Because it speaks ActivityPub, you can subscribe to someone's Bookwyrm feed from directly in Mastodon and see the book reviews they post!

https://joinbookwyrm.com/

Also there are 2 spots remaining in the Bookwyrm patreon to pay $40/mo and support the project in a huge way *and* have @tripofmice run a server for you and 50 of your bookwormiest friends: https://www.patreon.com/bookwyrm

stop trying to sort yourselves by profession. the fedi is sorted by moderation culture and connectivity needs.

I just got off being on call. Had a 2am call and a 4am call. Nothing destroys me like being on call for a week. The next time I'm scheduled is the week of Christmas.
